The 10U Howell Heat girls travel fastpitch softball team won the 2012 Jersey Shore Spring Classic in Tinton Falls. The Heat defeated the N.J. Extreme, 6-2, in the championship game.
To advance to the final, the Heat turned back the Jersey Flames, 2-0, and defeated the Staten Island, N.Y., Saints, 6-1.
The Howell Heat players are Kristina Pelano, Claudia Knapp, Kiera Quinn, Kaitlyn Pierce, Madison Lowry, Julia Canal, Gabriella Polera, Nicole Eckert, Alexis Post, Hannah Lynde, Heather Priante, Anjolique Monticollo, Jessica Cancel and Kayla Coughlin.
The New Jersey Titans Hockey Club will hold its third annual golf outing on May 24 at the Woodlake Country Club, Lakewood. The cost of the event is $150.
