Scouts enjoy helping others

Members of Junior Troop 1574 and Brownie Troop 187 from the Ramtown section of Howell collected and donated school supplies for children who live in the Dominican Republic, where a Monsignor Donovan High School student, Allie Ambriano of Howell, is going to visit and donate her time helping in that region.

The young ladies also donated 156 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to American Recreational Military Services and to the 180 Turning Lives Around nonprofit.

The girls have also collected more than 100 children’s books to mark 100 years of Girl Scouting. The books will be donated to the Howell PAL preschool program and to local hospitals.
