MILLSTONE: Board of Fire Commissioners seeks to fill vacancy

Interested residents must submit resumes by June 6

MILLSTONE — Any township resident interested in filling the vacancy on the five-member Millstone Board of Fire Commissioners must submit a resume and letter of interest to the board by Wednesday, June 6.
The vacancy was caused by the recent resignation of elected Commissioner Jeffery VanArsdale, whose term expires March 2014. The person appointed by the Board of Fire Commissioners will serve until the next fire election in February 2013, at which time the seat will be on the ballot for the final year of the unexpired term.
The Millstone Board of Fire Commissioners intends to review the resumes at its June 11 workshop meeting, then interview candidates and make a final selection at its June 25 meeting, according to Commission Chairman David Markunas.
Resumes and letters of interest should be mailed to David Markunas, c/o Millstone Township Fire District No. 1, Box 83, Clarksburg, NJ, 08510.
