LAWRENCE: Little League champs crowned

   Carroll Christmas Tree won the National League Championship Playoffs defeating Lukoil 5-4 in the semifinals and Ace Topsoil 6-5 in the championship game.
   In the Lukoil game Jason Greaux hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Jason Nalbone and Jack O’Reilly both had two-out RBIs to extend the game. Kyle Smith and Trevor Delcampe combined to strike out 16 for the win, while Liam Carrroll and Delcampe each had two hits.
   Matthew Gunton threw four shutout innings for Lukoil, while Ryan Kaelblein and Ean Dauer each had two hits.
   Against Ace Topsoil Greaux, O’Reilly and Carroll combined to pitch for the win. Greaux was three-for-three with three RBIs, and Smith and Delcampe had two hits. The game ended on a bases-loaded double play turned by Delcampe.
   Finn Lillis struck out 10 for Ace, while Jayson O’Connell had a hit and two RBIs.
