Fall For Horses is back at the Horse Park of New Jersey Oct. 21.
Fall For Horses All Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show and Family Festival is back and will now be hosted by the newest face in off-track Thoroughbred Retirement Programs, Second Call Thoroughbred Adoption and Placement, a registered nonprofit organization. The Horse Park of New Jersey will host the event.
The show will once again showcase the diversity of thoroughbreds in more than 30 classes and feature an eclectic group of vendors (food, arts/crafts, jewelry, soaps, books, pet and equine supplies).
There will also be a cider stand, pumpkin painting, an Alex Brown book signing, an equine costume class, a seedling Christmas tree sale and raffles/prizes. With Halloween around the corner, kids, adults and dogs are invited to wear costumes.
Highlighting the day will be the $1500 Hunter Stakes Class sponsored by Turning For Home, a $250 Stakes Class sponsored by Brandon W. Furlong, M.V.B. Equine Veterinarian, a meet and greet off-track thoroughbred area, a special appearance by Joey P (recently retired New Jersey sprinter with earnings of more than $1,000,000), and from noon to 2 p.m., WPST will broadcast live from the festival.
