Mrs. Applegate, 80, of Sayreville, died Oct. 11, 2012, at home. She was a ceramics teacher for many years. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas G. Applegate, and by two sisters, Dorothy Kondas and Charlotte Signore. Surviving are a daughter, Janel Tischler, and her husband, John, of Jackson; two sons, Gary Applegate, and his wife, Christine, of Colorado and John Applegate of Sayreville; a daughter-inlaw, Sheran Applegate of Sayreville; her former husband, Joseph Applegate of Sayreville; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
