The Monmouth County SPCA is distributing pet food and supplies to those impacted by Sandy.
People who need help feeding their pets can stop by the Thrift Store at the Homeward Bound Adoption Center, 260 Wall St. in Eatontown, or contact their local emergency shelter.
The MCSPCA is coordinating a distribution center in partnership with the Humane Society of the United States New Jersey office.
Donations can be dropped off at the thrift seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There is a need for donations of:
• pet food of any kind
• bedding – towels, sheets, blankets
• supplies- litter, leashes
• toys and treats
• tote bags or boxes
Those who have the ability to save a life are asked to please consider adopting now. This will help create space to help even more pets displaced by the storm.
Those who are able can make a donation in any amount to help the MCSPCA’s work to recover
from the impact of the storm and meet the needs of all the pets and pet owners in Monmouth County.
Hours at the Eatontown shelter are: 9 a.m. -4 p.m. for donations; noon – 4 p. m. for adoptions.
The Freehold Raceway Mall location is open during mall hours.
The Thrift Store is closed until further notice and the
vaccine clinic is suspended until further notice.
