Mr. Gibson, 65, of Howell, died Nov. 1, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was employed by Stavola Asphalt and Contracting Company for more than 25 years, retiring as maintenance foreman for the company’s asphalt plants in 1997. An avid hunter, he was also a well-known local farmer. Mr. Gibson was predeceased by two brothers, Robert M. Gibson Sr. and Glenn H. Gibson. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Robinson Gibson; two sons, Richard H. Gibson III, of Howell and Randall E. Gibson, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two daughters, Carolyn J. Wingate, of Farmingdale, and Janine M. Smith, of Howell; a brother, Theodore Gibson, of Monroe; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at the Adelphia Cemetery, Howell.
