Resident’s presence causes man to flee

JACKSON — An attempted burglary on Dina Place resulted in a female resident of Jackson coming face-to-face with a wouldbe burglar in her bedroom.

According to information provided by the Jackson Police Department, the woman was home alone when someone rang the doorbell at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 3. The woman did not answer the doorbell.

A few moments later, a man walked into a bedroom the woman was in, according to police. Upon seeing the woman, the man fled from the house.

Police said the suspect entered the house without having to force his way in, as the front door had apparently been left unlocked.

The resident described the man as a white male in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and a pale complexion. The resident said the man was wearing a black shirt and a black hat.
