New Jersey Association of Realtors announces 2012 leadership team

The New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) installed its 2013 officers on Dec. 4 at the President’s Installation and Gala during the 12th Annual Triple Play Realtor Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City.

Christina Banasiak, CRS, e-PRO, SFR, is 2013 president. Currently a broker associate at Weichert, Realtors of Marlboro/Manalapan, she received her real estate license in 1979 and her broker’s license in 1982.

At the state level, Banasiak held the post of communications and public relations division officer in 2010 and treasurer in 2008-2009. In previous years, she served as professional conduct division officer, professional development division officer, and chair of the convention and bylaws committees. She was elected to serve as president of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors (MCAR) in 2005 and 2006. Banasiak was named MCAR Realtor of the Year in 1997 and 2006. She has also been a member of numerous committees and a member of the MCAR board of directors since 1995. Banasiak currently serves the National Association of Realtors (NAR) as a director and was a member of the multiple listing issues and policy committee, and the federal taxation committee in 2012. She is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors.

Cindy Marsh Tichy, ABR, AHWD, BPOR, CRS, e-PRO, GREEN, GRI, PMN, SFR, SRES, is 2013 presidentelect. Marsh Tichy is currently a broker associate at Weichert, Realtors in Randolph. She received her real estate license in 1997 and her broker’s license in 2000.

At the national level, Marsh Tichy served on the state and local issues committee in 2012. A graduate of the Leadership Academy in 2010, she has served on the communications committee in 2010 and 2011, and held post as a NAR director in 2011. At the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors (NCJAR), Marsh Tichy has held positions including president, vice president, assistant treasurer and trustee. She has served on multiple committees including NJAR Circle of Excellence Sales Award local verification, professional standards, and education, in which she served as chair from 2003 to 2005. In addition, she has been a member of numerous NJAR committees, and held the division officer post for NJAR’s industry advocacy division in 2011 and professional development division in 2010.

Genette Falk, SFR, is 2013 NJAR treasurer. She entered the real estate business in 1993 and has been a member of the association ever since. She is currently a sales manager at Davis, Realtors in East Brunswick.

At the national level, Falk served on the legal action committee in 2012. She has served on various committees at the state level, including legal affairs and professional standards. She is a NJAR Educational Foundation trustee. At the local level, Falk has served on the following committees: NJAR Circle of Excellence Sales Award local verification, professional standards, and budget and finance. Falk is a graduate of the NAR Leadership Academy and was awarded Realtor of the Year by the Middlesex County Association of Realtors in 2006.

Eugenia “Jean” Bonilla is the 2013 first vice president. Bonilla entered the real estate business in 1978 and became part of the association in 1982. She is currently a broker-sales associate with Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors in Mount Laurel.

At the national level, she previously served on the conventional finance and lending committee in 2012, and was an alternate NAR director. Bonilla also successfully completed the leadership academy program from 2012-2013.

Bonilla has served as a NJAR division officer for the past two years, as well as served on multiple committees. She also currently serves as a New Jersey Real Estate commissioner. Bonilla was awarded Realtor of the Year 2007- 2008 by the Burlington Camden County Association of Realtors.
