Maeve McGowan, 9, of East Windsor recently won the 8-9 year old girls division of the ELKS Free Throw Shooting Contest. McGowan had won at her local lodge, then competed against other local winners at Ridgeway Middle School in Edgewater Park on Saturday, January 12th. By winning the district competition, Maeve will advance to the New Jersey state finals on February 10 in South Plainfield with a chance to advance to the United States Eastern Regionals. McGowan represents Hightstown Elks Lodge #1955.
