Franklin Township Welcomes Unity Bank at Ribbon Cutting for New Branch

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (February 1, 2013) – Franklin Township Mayor Brian D. Levine and the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce joined Unity Bank for a ribbon cutting ceremony welcoming the bank’s new full-service branch at 120 Cedar Grove Lane in the Somerset section of the township, its second Somerset County branch and 15th overall.
“We welcome Unity Bank to the township and are thankful to again have a bank offering comprehensive services at this facility,” said Levine. “Unity Bank has had a presence in the area through branches in two adjacent communities so they are no strangers to the township. The bank is a great addition to our business community.”
The new branch is located in the Cedar Grove Centre strip mall at the intersection of New Brunswick Road that had been vacant two years when another bank relocated. Levine was joined by Leon T. Hughes and Peter Stavrianidis, respectively the president and vice president of the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce.

The full-service branch provides drive-up ATM and teller windows, safe deposit boxes, night depository and coin counting machinery, as well as a Unity Café with beverages and Internet access. Unity Bank signed a long-term lease with property owner Jemstone Group of New York City for the 3,000-square-foot, freestanding, one-story building. The building interior was completely renovated by Security Products Systems of Sparta a specialist in financial services building design and construction that has completed multiple facility projects for Unity Bank over the last 10 years.
