Mrs. Madalone, 77, of Jackson, died Jan. 12, 2013, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. Prior to retiring, she was employed for 25 years as a school bus assistant for special needs children by the Jackson School District Board of Education. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Madalone, in 1984; and a son, Daniel Madalone, in 1964. Surviving are a son, Michael Madalone of Jackson; three daughters, Kathleen DiAngelo of Jackson, Sandra Dufner-Dechert and her husband, Robert, of Lakehurst, and Stacey A. Burke of Jackson; a sister, Tesse Deforest; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
