The Borough Improvement League (BIL) is has announced the return of the Brainy Borough Chili Challenge. The event will be held Feb. 17 from 1-5 p.m. at the Old Franklin School, 491 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
Attendees will have the chance to sample more than a dozen different local chilis and vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded for “People’s Choice” and “Judge’s Choice.” The panel of judges will include last year’s winners, along with other Metuchen “celebrities.”
All proceeds will benefit the BIL’s scholarship fund, which provides an annual $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Metuchen High School student pursuing a career in education, medicine or social work.
