A concert to benefit four animal-rescue organizations/animal shelters/pet-adoption centers, will be held March 17 at Rumor 35, 2090 Route 35 north, South Amboy.
“Paws for a Cause: Part Deux,” will benefit the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Eatontown; Whiskers Rescue Inc., Sayreville; Happy Paws, South Plainfield; and Rescue Ridge, Spring Lake. Doors will open at 1 p.m. Proceeds will be divided equally among the four groups.
The event will feature performances by Michale Graves of the Misfits, the Andy Toomey Trio, Stone Blue, 9 Below Zero, the Nick Clemons Band, Psycho Daisy, the Chuck Lambert Band featureing James Dalton, Sonny Kenn, Sandy Mack and Chris Plunkett & the All-Star Band. Special guests Tattoo Tony from “Under My Skin” will emcee, and the Metal Barbie, Christie Kane will also be on hand. DJ will be Criss Cartuneo.
Food will be available for purchase. A Max’s Famous Hot Dogs & Stuff food truck will be outside the event. There will be raffles for gift baskets and gifts, including a $500 Ibanez electric guitar. A 50/50 drawing will be held.
Ticket donation is $20. Guests, who must be age 18 or older to attend, are asked to bring blankets, sheets, towels, pillows, dog or cat food, kitty litter, garbage bags, paper towels or other items for donation to the animal groups.
