JCC to host walking tour into Brooklyn

Individuals who enjoy walking are invited to join the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County (JCC) on a guided tour of Brooklyn on May 22.

Starting at the Woolworth Building in lower Manhattan, tour guide Marty Schneit will lead the group over the mile-long Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn Heights, where he’ll discuss the history, architecture and famous events in the area.

The group will then head to the promenade for photo opportunities, and Montague Street to enjoy restaurants and shops.

The trip is offered with or without transportation. (The transportation will leave the JCC at 1 p.m. and return at about 8:30 p.m.) The cost with round-trip transportation for JCC members is $49, and $55 for nonmembers. Fee for those not needing transportation is $20 for members, and $24 for nonmembers.

Space is very limited. For more information, contact Diane Mael, director of adult services, at 732-494-3232, ext. 614.
