A Mother’s Day car wash by the work camp team of the Morganville United Methodist Church will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 11 at the Morganville Independent Firehouse, 393 Route 79, Marlboro. Baked goods will be available for sale at the event. Proceeds from the car wash will benefit the group’s trip to Hopewell, Va., where they will assist the needy with home repairs.

Pedals for Progress, a bicycle collection program sponsored by the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 Route 537 west, Colts Neck, will be held June 1. Bicycles in repairable condition can be dropped off at the church from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will be on-site to prepare the bikes to be shipped overseas and then distributed to poor working adults to be used for transportation.
