ALLENTOWN: Borough students honored

Students honored for achievement by respective college, university

ALLENTOWN — John Rosenkranz and Carla Breccia, both of Allentown, were recognized for their academic success by the Berklee College of Music, Boston, and Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut, respectively.
   According to a school release, Mr. Rosenkranz was placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at the Berklee College of Music.
   To be eligible, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
   Ms. Breccia, recently won the Biomedical Sciences Student Achievement Award at Quinnipiac University’s senior awards ceremony April 27, according to an university release.
   This award is given each year to a senior majoring in biomedical sciences in the School of Health Sciences, who has shown exceptional academic achievement and has contributed significantly to the department.
   The awards ceremony is held annually and honors Quinnipiac seniors in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, character, community service and contributions to the university community.
   Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.
