Mr. McLoughlin, 82, of North Brunswick, died May 11, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Englewood, he moved to North Brunswick 50 years ago. He was a district manager for AT&T in New York City and Piscataway for 40 years before his retirement in 1990. After retirement, he served as finance chairman for Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick until his death. He had served as a master sergeant in the New Jersey National Guard, 50th Armored Division, 1949-1956. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Leona (Malinowski) McLoughlin; his children, Karen Lee Reigner and her husband, Roger, of Atlanta, Ga., Kris Ann McLoughlin, of Santa Monica, Calif., Kathryn Marie Gregory and her husband, Daniel, of Florham Park, Thomas Robert McLoughlin and his wife, Cynthia, of Morris Plains, and Brendan Michael McLoughlin and his wife, Carla, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Selover Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, both North Brunswick. Burial followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
