PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
   A victim reported someone came into his or her room on Prospect Avenue and stole cash from a wallet sometime between 4 p.m. and midnight on May 23. Police said there was no forced entry and no other items taken from the room.
   A victim reported someone stole his $500 suit jacket from the coat closet of an eating club on Prospect Avenue while he was attending an event there on May 4.
   A victim reported someone had stolen his or her $100 jacket from the coatroom of an eating club on Prospect Avenue sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on May 24. Police said the jacket contained a cell phone worth about $100 and a wallet that held $50 in cash.
   Brandon Melvin, 26, of Trenton, was charged with having $1,295 in active warrants out of Lawrence after getting pulled over on Stockton Street near Monument Drive on May 25 at 1:25 a.m.
   James Limani, 58, of Bordentown, was charged with having more than $500 in active warrants out of Bordentown after getting pulled over on Stockton Street near Monument Drive on May 25 at 1:39 a.m.
   Michael Tholis, 24, of Kingston, was charged with having an active warrant in the mount of $114 out of Princeton after getting pulled over on Nassau Street near Peck Place on May 27 at 12:35 a.m.
   A business owner on the 800 block of Route 206 reported a group of three people came in and stole a cell phone accessory worth $15 on May 27 at 4:10 p.m.
   Jerome Bergeron, 45, of Lakewood, was charged with having $1,235 in active warrants out of Colts Neck after getting pulled over on South Harrison Street at Southern Way on May 28 at 10:18 a.m.
   Elba Penate, 27, of Hamilton, and Stephen Max, 52, of Princeton, were in a car accident on May 28 after Ms. Penate allegedly veered into the opposite lane and crashed into Mr. Max on Mercer Street near the intersection of Maxwell Lane at 4:22 p.m. Both were taken to the Princeton hospital in Plainsboro and both their cars were towed.
   A pedestrian reported a man ran up behind her, grabbed her $200 iPhone and fled while she was walking on Washington Road near Prospect Avenue on May 29 at 1:56 p.m. She described the suspect as a black male juvenile and 110 pounds with short cropped hair and wearing a black T-shirt and pants.

   Montgomery
   Michael Stewart, 20, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing his car on Route 533 near Ridgeview Drive on May 17 at 3:15 a.m., damaging several mailboxes in the process. Police said Mr. Stewart’s 2004 Buick Century suffered front-end damage, a broken windshield and a missing right front tire and that Mr. Stewart could not remember the details of the crash. He also received a summons for failure to report an accident.
   Sin Tun, of Somerset, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 206 on May 27 at 1 a.m. He also received summonses for maintenance of lamps, failure to maintain a lane and failure to exhibit documents.
   Plainsboro
   Michael Manak, 27, of Plainsboro, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct and creating a nuisance on Wyndhurst Drive near the Princeton Meadows Shopping Center on May 24 at 8:49 p.m. Police said Mr. Manak, while intoxicated, had walked over to an officer who was in the middle of conducting a motor vehicle stop and yelled offensive language at him. Mr. Manak was taken to the Princeton hospital in Plainsboro for further evaluation.
