First Choice Bank vs. Doherty Painting
First Choice Bank defeated Doherty Painting 10-5 on May 20, as Colin D’Angelo picked up the pitching win by striking out 6. Nick Cuiffreda and Liam Smith each had two hits and doubled, while Jayson O’Connell chipped in with two hits.
Garrett Maloney had three hits for Doherty and Shea McGuire made a great catch, leaping in front of the fence to rob Jack O’Reilly of a possible home run.
Doherty Painting vs. First Choice Bank
Doherty Painting topped First Choice Bank 8-5 May 29 behind the strong pitching of Ameer Hasan, who surrendered two first-inning runs but nothing else in his four innings of work.
Three of Doherty Painting’s batters recorded two hits each. Ryan Kaelblein had a triple and a double, where Shea McGuire and Joey Hiner each had a double and a single. Ryan Monaghan and Ameer Hasan added one hit apiece.
For First Choice Bank, Adam Zakaria collected three hits, including a double. Liam Smith, Chris Nevius, Aidan Kane, Jayson O’Connell and Nate Ballard added singles. Jack O’Reilly pitched effectively in relief of Colin D’Angelo, who also pitched well.
