Jackson School District students who want to play a sport next year should sign up now for sports physicals, taking place on June 11 and June 12. All physicals will take place at Jackson Liberty High School, but at varying times depending on the sport and the sending school. Students who attend either Goetz Middle School or Jackson Memorial High School will follow the sports schedule for June 11. Students who attend either McAuliffe Middle School or Jackson Liberty High School will follow the sports schedule for June 12.
Participants must register for a physical. The cutoff deadline for preregistration is June 7. Sign-up sheets will be available in each school’s nurse’s office. Students should sign up under the time slot of the first sport they will participate in for the 2013-14 school year. If there are multiple siblings, they may all sign up for one session. If students cannot make their scheduled time, they can call the athletics office (732-415-7011 at Jackson Liberty and 732-833- 4635 at Jackson Memorial) and they will be assigned a time.
“Pre-Participation Physical Packets” are available on the district and school websites and in school nurse offices. All parent information must be completed prior to seeing the doctor. Students also have the option of seeing their own doctor.
