   Residents at The Clare Estate, an assisted living residence housed in the former St. Clare’s Monastery on Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, will hold a tie-blanket marathon to benefit children’s charities in Mercer County and overseas.
   The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The blankets fashioned during the marathon will be made in various sizes and designs and donated to HomeFront, a Lawrenceville.

   The Roebling Museum fourth annual car show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 2nd Ave., Roebling.
   Admission is $5. Children under 12 are admitted free. Rain date is July 28.
Mon., July 29
   Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 280 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, holds its summer vacation Bible school, co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial, from July 29 to Aug. 2.
   There will be two sessions: the morning one from 9 to 11:30 for preschool and kindergarten (age 3 by Sept. 30 and potty trained) and the afternoon session from 6 to 8:30 for kindergarten through sixth grade.

   Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
   Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase.
   The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8. The price is $6 per person.
   Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m.
   All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
