Host Families for Japanese Students Needed
Do you enjoy meeting people, traveling, eating delicious food and learning new languages?  You can
do all that and more by hosting a Japanese student this summer!
Host families for 7 Japanese High School students and one Middle School student from Nagano Prefecture, in Central Japan, are needed.  The group will arrive to Pennington on Saturday, July 27th  and will stay until Friday, March  9th.
During their visit, the Japanese students will study English at the Timberlane Middle School in Pennington.  In addition, they will visit Princeton University, the State Capital, University of Pennsylvania and various historical and cultural sights in Philadelphia, New York City and Washington, DC.    They will also enjoy a day at the beach and teach their hosts about Japanese language and culture throughout their visit.
The program will end with a Pot Luck Dinner and Japanese Cultural Presentations on Thursday, August 8th from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Middle School cafeteria.
The exchange program is organized by the Center for International Training, Inc., a Not-for-Profit Organization from Osaka, Japan with offices in CT and NJ.
Hosts will be able to join their guest on some the excursions for free and can join cultural classes at the Middle School for free.
Any families interested in hosting a Japanese student are asked to contact Local Area Home Stay Coordinator, Alisa Kuppe, at as soon as possible.
