   Madalyn Grace LaMastro, a 2012 graduate of Hillsborough High School has been named to the President’s List at West Virginia University.
   To qualify, a student must achieve a perfect 4.0. Madalyn has also been recognized by Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization for undergraduate studies. Madalyn is majoring in world languages, literatures and linguistics.

   Local students enrolled at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Va., were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.
   To qualify, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn at least a 3.4-grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
   Local students are:
   Ian A. Berezansky of Flagtown, a junior majoring in psychology in the College of Science.
   Cara L. Alpaugh, of Manville, a sophomore majoring in accounting and information systems in the Pamplin College of Business.
   Jaime L. Alpaugh, of Manville, a freshman majoring in political science in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
   Christopher B. Lagos, of Hillsborough, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering.
   Jonathan J. Pavlik, of Hillsborough, a senior majoring in accounting and information systems in the Pamplin College of Business.
   Keith A. Tauscher, of Hillsborough, a junior majoring in physics in the College of Science.
   Jayne L. Vecchio, of Hillsborough, a freshman majoring in human nutrition, foods, and exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
   Samantha S. Yeh. of Hillsborough, a senior majoring in architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
   Jerry A. Somma, of Neshanic Station, a junior majoring in environmental science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
   David Z. Bergida, of Belle Mead, a freshman majoring in business in the Pamplin College of Business.
   Jeffrey W. Mayer, of Belle Mead, a junior majoring in human nutrition, foods, and exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
   Courtney E. Parks, of Belle Mead, a sophomore majoring in human nutrition, foods, and exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
   Colleen E. Ridder, of Belle Mead, a freshman majoring in communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.

   Carolyn Mako of Hillsborough made the dean’s commendation list at Gettysburg (Pa.) College with a quality-point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for the spring semester.

   Joseph DeLorenzo, a 2012 graduate of Hillsborough High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Rowan University. Joe is pursuinga double major in history and secondary education and earned a GPA of 3.83.
