LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   A vandal slashed four tires and scratched the driver’s side of a 2002 Pontiac belonging to a Danielle Court resident while it was parked outside the victim’s home between 11:50 p.m. July 22 and 8:30 a.m. July 23. Damage was estimated at $600.
   A GPS unit and a phone charger, valued at $160, were reported stolen from an unlocked 2009 Ford Fusion while it was parked outside the victim’s home on Wexford Drive. The theft was reported at 8:48 a.m. July 23.
   Copper wire valued at $1,000 and an impact drill and charger valued at $500 were reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. July 24 from a vacant building on Bakers Basin Road that is undergoing renovation.
   A laptop computer worth $500 was reported stolen from the front seat of an unlocked 2006 Honda Civic between 10 p.m. July 24 and 6 a.m. July 25 while it was parked outside the victim’s home on Bunker Hill Avenue.
   James Allen Jr., 18, of Johnson Avenue, and a 16-year-old girl were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana after they were observed on school property at the Lawrence Middle School at 4:46 p.m. July 25. Mr. Allen was also charged with defiant trespass because he is forbidden to be on the school grounds.
   Steven Nickels, 18, and Angelina Buzgo, 19, both of Hamilton, were charged with possessing fraudulent driver’s licenses after they allegedly used faked Pennsylvania driver’s licenses to try to buy liquor at Joe Canal’s liquor store at the Mercer Mall at 8:14 p.m. July 25.
   Police recovered an assortment of stolen electronic items, including 10 GPS units, a digital camera, and an Apple Ipad, plus a Kenneth Cole wristwatch, a cell phone, two utility tools and small earphones from a Dumpster on Sturwood Way in the Sturwood Hamlet apartment complex at 8:42 p.m. July 29. They are investigating to see if they are linked to items stolen from cars.
