Special primary election set for Aug. 13

New Jersey will hold a special primary election for the U.S. Senate on Aug. 13.

The passing of U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg resulted in a vacancy to be filled by the voters of New Jersey in a special general election on Oct. 16. Democratic and Republican primary elections will be held on Aug. 13, when voters will select their respective party’s nominee.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
