SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Dayton accountant elected CPA president for Middlesex and Somerset counties

The firm of E. Martin Davidoff & Associates, CPAs, in Dayton, is proud to announce the election of Melanie Cobb, CPA, as President of the Middlesex/Somerset Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) for the 2013/14 year, according to an Aug. 16 press release.
   Representing more than 15,000 members, the NJSCPA is the largest professional organization serving the needs of current and future CPAs in New Jersey, according to the release.
   Ms. Cobb will lead the Middlesex/Somerset Chapter in providing continuing education, resources, support and networking to local accounting professionals, the release said.
   As a staff accountant and tax controversy specialist in her firm, Ms. Cobb represents clients in State and IRS tax controversy matters, and prepares corporate and individual tax returns.
   Ms. Cobb also serves as a board member of South County Day Care in Helmetta. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Rutgers University.
   Established in 1981, E. Martin Davidoff & Associates provides expert services in tax controversy work, IRS problems resolution, individual and corporate taxation, income tax research and planning, S corporations, business start-ups, CFO in a box, and business consulting, according to the release.
