New Design Theme for www.SocialSecurity.Gov
Think  www.socialsecurity.govfirst!!!

I am excited to announce that we have rolled out a new and improved public Social Security Internet website. The updated theme presents a fresh, modern look and feel, reflecting current trends and best practices in web design.
The home page features popular “main menus” to help users quickly and easily find the information they seek. Included in the new design are a new top banner and footer, an updated color scheme, and a simplified layout.
Keeping in mind the growing number of tablet users, we made sure the new theme is tablet friendly.  Smartphone users will continue to enjoy the benefits of the mobile-friendly website we launched on May 6, 2013.
In order for you to familiarize yourself with the new theme, I encourage you to visit the www.SocialSecurity.Gov
Check out the many user-friendly features and please continue to promote our online services and information to the public.  For the majority of you – who interact directly with the public each day – it is very important that you become familiar with the improved site so you can answer questions and assist members of the public who need help conducting their Social Security business online.
In addition, visitors to the new site can learn how to create a personal my Social Security account to get an online Social Security Statement, learn more about Social Security’s award-winning online services, and connect with Social Security on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest.
For more information, please go to www.socialsecurity.gov.
The release of our redesigned Internet website is one more step towards our agency goal of improving the online experience for the people we serve.
