LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   Copper pipes, valued at $500, were reported stolen from the basement of a house on Brunswick Pike sometime between 1 p.m. Sept. 24 and 6 p.m. Sept. 25. The thief broke a window leading to the breezeway and entered the cellar through an open door.
   A checkbook, two iPods and a flip phone were reported stolen from an unlocked 2010 Kia that was parked in its owner’s driveway on Graf Avenue between 6 p.m. Sept. 25 and 6 a.m. Sept. 26. The items were valued at a combined $110.
   An unlocked 2010 Hyundai, valued at $10,000, was reported stolen from the driveway of a Brearley Avenue residence after the thief discovered a spare key to the car inside an unlocked 2013 Hyundai that was also parked in the driveway between 11 p.m. Sept. 25 and 6 a.m. Sept. 26. Two iPods and a cell phone, worth a combined $350, also were stolen from inside the cars.
   A Drexel Avenue resident reported someone entered her unlocked 2013 Lexus and rummaged through it while the car was parked outside her home between 11 p.m. Sept. 25 and 8:15 a.m. Sept. 26, but nothing was reported missing.
   A stack of nine long-sleeved T-shirts, valued at $359.91, was stolen from the Pacsun store at the Quaker Bridge Mall between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sept. 26.
   A small amount of change was taken from an unlocked 2005 Toyota Camry while it was parked outside its owner’s home on Graf Avenue between midnight and 4:30 a.m. Sept. 26.
   Rider University student Kelley Gottschall, 21, of Neptune, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she was found to have a pipe, cigars and a plastic container in her possession at 7:19 p.m. Sept. 26 in Switlik Dorm.
   Someone stole a pocketbook belonging to a 24-year-old Lawrence resident that she had left unattended in the Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library System between noon and 1 p.m. Sept. 26.
   Seven Lawrence Township juveniles, ages 12 to 15, were charged with trespassing on school property at 7:25 p.m. Sept. 27 after they were found riding their skateboards and scooters between Lawrence Middle School and Lawrence High School, after they had been told by a school district administrator to stay away. They were released to their parents’ custody.
   Two Trenton juveniles, ages 12 and 14, were charged with shoplifting clothing worth $278 from J.C. Penney at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 8:23 p.m. Sept. 27.
   A bicycle valued at $150 was reported stolen from an open tent-like garage in the yard of an Eldridge Avenue residence at 7:47 a.m. Sept. 28.
   Lorena Franco, 43, of College Point, N.Y., was charged with shoplifting assorted cosmetics valued at $498 from Sephora at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 4:04 p.m. Sept. 28. She was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $1,000 bail with a 10-percent option.
   Nicholas Roman, 18, of Montville, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana after Rider University security officers found him in possession at Conover Dorm at 11:33 p.m. Sept. 28.
   A Titus Avenue resident reported the theft of his unlocked 2003 Audi from in front of his home between 10 p.m. Sept. 28 and 3 p.m. Sept. 29, after the thief found the keys inside the car. The car was recovered Oct. 1 at 1:51 a.m. in Trenton, where it had been abandoned on Pennington Avenue after an accident.
   Police also recovered a bicycle at the victim’s house that had been reported stolen from another Titus Avenue residence between 8 p.m. Sept. 28 and 3 p.m. Sept. 29. Police believe there may be a connection between the two thefts.
