WEST WINDSOR — The Mercer County Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center located at Mercer County Community College will host special programs in October. These events are offered as part of the center’s mission to support education and enhance the understanding of concepts and lessons of the Holocaust and other genocide.
The Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center is located on MCCC’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road, on the second floor of the Library building. All events are free and open to educators, local organizations and the general public.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m., the center hosts “Human Trafficking: A Violation of Human Freedom,” a panel discussion featuring experts in the field.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29 the HGRC, in collaboration with the Future Teachers Club and Kappa Delta Pi, will observe Bullying Awareness Day. Events include a screening of the documentary film “Bully” at noon.
Also at noon, a Bake Sale and Pumpkin Sale will take place in front of the student center cafeteria as a fundraiser for Womanspace, which provides support to women and families in crisis. Literature on bullying prevention will be available.
At 4 p.m., representatives from Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum, which is housed at The College of New Jersey, will lead a discussion on bullying prevention.
