 Amboy Bank employees are clad in superhero garb for the kickoff of the bank’s Spooktacular Food Drive. The store is now open to buy merchandise from the local community and will offer consumers cash on the spot for quality, gently used children’s apparel, books, baby equipment and furniture. Once the store is open to sell, it will offer merchandise at more than 60-70 percent off retail prices.

Participants can enter for a chance to win one of three top cash prizes, with a matching donation to a charity of their choice.

The top prizes will be awarded on Dec. 14, including a grand prize of $5,000 cash and a $5,000 donation to a charity; a first-place prize of $2,500 cash and a $2,500 donation to a charity; and a second-place prize of $1,000 cash and a $1,000 donation to a charity.

In addition, one winner will be selected at random each day through Nov. 23 to receive a $100 Provident Visa Gift Card for themselves and a $100 donation to a charity of their choice.

Applebee’s restaurants in New Jersey will thank all those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces by inviting them for a free meal on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Applebee’s will begin serving lunch at 11 a.m. and dinner until closing at midnight or later. The honored guests will need to provide proof of service, which includes a U.S. Uniform Services identification card, U.S. Uniform Services retired identification card, current leave and earnings statement, veterans organization card, photograph in uniform or wearing a uniform, DD214, citation or commendation.
