League of Women Voters thanks Princeton TV, Packet

To the editor:
The League of Women Voters of the Princeton Area wishes to thank its collaborators, Princeton Community TV and the Princeton Packet, for enabling the League to bring information about candidates to a wide audience.
While about 30 citizens attended each of the two local forums at Monument Hall, 749 watched Princeton TV’s video of the Princeton Council forum and 813 watched that of the Board of Education forum. When the 16th Legislative District forum is included, the videos were viewed nearly 2,000 times, and many more citizens may have seen the rebroadcasts on Princeton TV’s channels 30 and 45. Last year, almost 6,000 voters clicked on the video of the mayoral forum. What powerful evidence of Princeton TV’s contribution to fulfilling the League’s mission!
That a newspaper with the Packet’s large circulation continues to generously contribute space for the League’s Voters’ Guides attests to the Packet’s commitment to public service. Although the Guides are posted on the League’s website, they would not reach so many households in the area without the Packet.
The League is grateful to all the local media – Town Topics, Planet Princeton, and Princeton Patch – for publicizing its events and trusts that voters appreciate the contributions of Princeton TV and the Packet at election time.
