HILLSBOROUGH: Kid robot makers score big

A robot built by teens in the Raritan Valley Composite Squadron, which operates out of the Central Jersey Airport near Manville, was on display Saturday at the Hillsborough High School RoboRaiders’ “Boro Blast” First Lego League competitiion. Dimitri Duma, left of Hillsborough and Joseph Kronmaier of Manville work to get their robot up the ramp and into position to hang on the bar. The teens are members of the Cyber Falcons and their age group represents the middle level of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics program — between the elementary grades level of the Lego League and high school-age challenges.
