PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
   Five cars parked on Brickhouse Road were burglarized during the night of Dec. 2. One vehicle owner reported electronics valued at $375 missing. At the time of the report the items missing from the additional burglaries and their value could not be determined.
   A wallet was stolen from Trinity Church on Mercer Street between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The total value of the wallet and its contents was estimated at $550.
   A 2002 BMW 5-Series sedan was stolen from the first block of Fleming Way during the night of Dec. 3. There was no associated value available at the time of the initial report.
   Plainsboro
   A plastic garbage container was set on fire just after 4 p.m. on Nov. 29 in the laundry room of building 25 on Hunters Glen Drive. The wall located nearest to the plastic garbage container had smoke damage. The Plainsboro Fire Department extinguished the garbage can and removed the smoke from the laundry room. The estimated damage sustained to the laundry room is approximately $450. This incident is under investigation.    Erion Dhamo, 29, of Plainsboro, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:21 a.m. on Nov. 30 after a traffic stop near Plainsboro Road and Deer Creek Drive for an obstructed view. He was released into the custody of a friend pending an upcoming municipal court date.
   Freddy Lopez-Garcia, 20, of Lawrence, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. on Nov. 30 after a traffic stop for speeding on Route 1 south and was charged with underage drunken driving, reckless driving, speeding and failure to exhibit a vehicle registration card. Police said his vehicle was traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and failed to keep to the right on a multi-lane highway. He was released into the custody of a family member pending a future court date in Plainsboro Township Municipal Court.
   Nicholas Migliaccio, 22, of Milltown, was arrested at 3:32 a.m. on Nov. 30 and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams after a traffic stop for speeding on Harrison Avenue. He was also issued summonses for speeding and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released under his own recognizance pending a future court date.
   Danya O’ Connor, 28, of Monmouth Junction, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. on Dec. 1 and charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop for unclear license plates and driving with an obstructed view on Hunters Glen Drive. She was also issued summonses for reckless driving, failure to observe a stop sign and obstructed view.
   Police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile resident of Maple Avenue at 4:55 p.m. on Dec. 1 and charged him with speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcoholic beverages after a traffic stop for traveling 51 mph in a 25 mph zone. He was released into the custody of a parent pending a future appearance in Mercer County Family Court.
   Aaron A. Norman, 31, of Somerset, was arrested at 1:28 a.m. on Dec. 2 and was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop for failing to maintain a lane. He was also issued traffic summonses for reckless driving, driving with a suspended driver’s license, failure to maintain lane, driving with an open alcohol container and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a later court date.
   Montgomery
   A car crashed into a tree along the “Skillman S-Curve” at 12:18 a.m. Nov. 30. A 2013 Toyota Rav 4 operated by Alexandre G. Vounatsos, 22, of Boston, was traveling south on County Route 601 when his vehicle left the roadway and hit the tree. Crash investigation revealed that his vehicle’s speed was a contributing factor. His vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene. He complained of pain due to airbag deployment but refused medical assistance. He received a motor vehicle summons for failure to maintain a lane and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
