PRINCETON: Coyote killed after acting aggressively

Police destroyed a coyote at the direction of animal control and health officials just after noon on Monday, Dec. 16.

   PRINCETON — Police destroyed a coyote at the direction of animal control and health officials just after noon on Monday, Dec. 16.
   Police responded to a residence on Quaker Road at 12:26 p.m. on a report that a non-domestic animal was acting aggressively toward people in the area, according to Princeton Police Sgt. Michael Cifelli.
   ”The caller stated specifically that the animal was growling at them and appeared disoriented,” Sgt. Cifelli said.
   Police located the coyote in a wooded area just off Quaker Road.
   ”The behavior of the coyote was affirmed and the animal was destroyed at the direction of animal control and health officials,” Sgt. Cifelli said.
   The remains were transported to a state health facility for testing to determine what was responsible for the animal’s aggressive behavior, according to Cifelli.
   No one was injured in the incident, according to police.
