Bordentown City
Police arrested Eli Santiago, 22, of Philadelphia, after it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant from Riverton Borough on Jan. 18.
According to police, the warrant was discovered during a routine ticket check of the New Jersey Transit light rail train station. Police said the check revealed Mr. Santiago had not validated his ticket.
After being taken into custody Mr. Santiago was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia, police said.
He was released without bail.
Jan. 26 police charged Cody W. Foster, of the 500 block of Willow Street, for theft.
According to police, Mr. Foster stole $212 from a residence in the same block of Willow Street.
Mr. Foster was transported to Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail, police said.
Florence
Police charged Michael J. Hunter, 53, of Burlington for driving while intoxicated Jan. 21.
According to police, officers were dispatched to West Front Street near the sewer plant to respond reports of an overturned vehicle. Officers found a pickup truck lying on side.
Mr. Hunter, the driver was also charged with refusing to take a breath test, reckless driving and driving during a state of emergency.
There were injuries as a result of the crash, police said.
He was released without bail.
Jan. 23 police arrested Cory T. Taylor, 35, of Burlington, after it was discovered he had two outstanding warrants totaling $3,500 from Trenton and Willingboro.
According to police, the warrants were discovered after an officer checked on Mr. Taylor, who was in a disabled vehicle in the Wawa parking lot.
Mr. Taylor was subsequently turned over to Willingboro authorities, police said.
Police charged Thomas Lawrence, 58, of Burlington, for driving while intoxicated Jan. 23.
According to police, patrol responded to reports of an aggressive driver on Route 130. Police subsequently located the car in the area of Cedar Lane and observed that driver appeared to be asleep at the wheel.
As police approached, Mr. Lawrence then fled in the vehicle southbound on Route 130, until police were able to initiate a stop in the area of Route 130 and Dulty’s lane.
Mr. Lawrence was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, speeding, failing to maintain a lane, driving the wrong way on a one way street, making an improper turn and eluding police.
He transported to Burlington County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bail that was placed on the eluding charge, police said.
Jan. 24 police arrested Stephanie J. Vil, 25, of Trenton, after it was discovered she had several active warrants from multiple jurisdictions totaling $1,733.
According to police, the warrants were discovered during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 130 and John Galt Way.
Ms. Vil was subsequently turned over to Trenton Police.
Police charged Darren Winningham, 40, of Florence, ford driving while intoxicated Jan. 26.
According to police, during a motor vehicle stop at Second and Hornberger avenues it was revealed the accused had consumed a quantity of alcohol.
Police also described Mr. Winningham as uncooperative during the stop as well as threatening when brought to police headquarters.
He was also charged with improper backing or turning in the street, reckless driving, driving while suspended and terroristic threats.
He was released without bail.
