Edison police investigate bank robbery

EDISON — Township police are investigating a March 1 robbery at the PNC Bank, 1730 Oak Tree Road.

The robber entered the bank around 11:20 a.m. and approached a teller. The suspect showed a note demanding money and claimed to have a gun, but did not display a weapon. The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.

The bank robber is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, unshaven, wearing a black jacket, black gloves and a camouflage baseball-style cap with an embroidered New Jersey State Police patch attached on the front.
