Open house to highlight Middlesex Greenway

METUCHEN — The Middlesex Greenway Access Plan project is inviting members of the public to learn more about the 3.5-mile multiuse trail and offer feedback on how it can be improved.

The open house is geared toward residents of Edison, Metuchen and Woodbridge — the towns the trail spans — as well as Middlesex County and beyond. Area business owners are also invited.

The event — set for March 18 at the Metuchen Senior Center, 15 Center St., Metuchen — is open to drop-ins anytime between 5-7:30 p.m.

Attendees are invited to share ideas on enhancing access to the trail through walking, biking and public transportation options; using the Greenway to benefit area businesses and downtowns; leveraging the public health benefits of the trail; and spreading the word to promote it.

Attendees are welcome to bring children along, as activities will be provided for those of all ages. Refreshments will be served.

Together North Jersey, Middlesex County, the Edison Greenways Group and local municipal partners are hosting the open house.
