“Word on the Street,” a spoken-word, open-mic event, will be hosted by the Jackson Writer’s Group and the Jackson Library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson, at 7 p.m. March 31. Thirteen local authors of numerous genres will share their writings in short readings and be available to answer questions. Published works, books, novels and promotional material will be available at the end of the program. The event is free and open to the public.
