Frances Sims

Mrs. Sims, 92, of Jackson, died April 24, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Hoboken and had lived in Shrewsbury, Red Bank and Spring Hill, Fla., before moving to Jackson in 2006. Prior to retiring in 1985, she was employed as a nurse’s assistant for more than 10 years at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a member of Deborah Heart and Lung Association, past president of the Luftman Towers Community Senior Citizens Club in Lincroft, and was active in several Catholic charities. Mrs. Sims was an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling with her friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Marie Millevoi; a sister, Mary; four brothers, Anthony, William, Dominick and John; her husband, Jerry; a son, Richard; and a daughter, Sharyn Procopio. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Roseann Sims of Jackson; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. Arrangements were by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
