LAWRENCE: Road projects underway this week

Several road repair projects are slated to get underway this week in Lawrence and Princeton townships.
Lawrence Township will begin milling and re-paving a portion of Darrah Lane, between Route 206 and Route 1/Brunswick Pike, beginning May 5. The project will take about 7 to 10 working days to complete.
Darrah Lane will be closed during the day while work is underway. Local traffic and school buses will be able to use it during the majority of the work, but access may be limited during the final paving.
Lawrence Township residents who use Mercer Road/Princeton Pike will find access is limited on the portion of the road from the Lawrence Township line to east of Quaker Road in Princeton Township. It will take about 10 to 14 working days to complete.
Also in Princeton Township, Quaker Road — between the Stony Brook Bridge to the Delaware and Raritan Canal bridge — will be repaired and resurfaced. The approved work hours for the Mercer Road/Princeton Pike and Quaker Road projects are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
