POLICE BEAT: May 22

Robbinsville
   Police charged Robert Tumas, 29, of Marlton with driving while intoxicated on May 11. According to police, officers responded to a car crash where a vehicle driven by Mr. Tumas had struck a guardrail at the intersection of Windsor and Allens roads.
   Mr. Tumas was also charged with reckless driving and careless driving.
   He was released without bail.
   On May 8 police charged Edward Painter, 29, of Milltown, with narcotics possession.
   According to police, a car driven by Mr. Painter was seen with an inoperable taillight on I-195, prompting a motor vehicle stop in the area of Exit 8.
   An ensuing search of the car revealed a small amount of heroin, police said.
   Mr. Painter was charged with having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, heroin possession and maintenance of lamps.
   He was released without bail.
   Police charged Justin Clason, 23, of Hamilton Township, with narcotics possession on May 8.
   According to police, Mr. Clason was seen by patrol using a cell phone while traveling south on Route 130, prompting a motor vehicle stop.
   An ensuing search of the car revealed a small amount of marijuana, police said.
   He was also charged with having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, marijuana possession and a cell phone violation.
   Mr. Clason was released without bail.
