Elks Lodge will host Flag Day ceremony
The Edison Elks Lodge No. 2487 will conduct its annual Flag Day ceremony June 14 at the lodge, 375 Old Post Road.
In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the national anthem, the event will begin with “The Star Spangled Banner” at 3:45 p.m.

Cub Scouts host two sign-up events
Cub Scout Pack 15 of Metuchen invites families of boys ages 6-10 to two sign-up events.
Both events will take place at the Social Center of the First Presbyterian Church, 270 Woodbridge Ave., Metuchen.
A pack meeting is set for 7-8 p.m. June 13, and a picnic will take place 4-8 p.m. June 21. Lots of activities are in store at both events, including launching rockets and flying airplanes.
