NJ Hall of Fame Mobile Museum to visit Toll Gate Grammar School

Toll Gate Grammar School, in conjunction with the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation and the Toll Gate Grammar School PTO, is pleased to announce that the New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum will visit Toll Gate on Thursday, June 19 from 9 am to 6 pm. Toll Gate students will visit the Museum with their classes during the school day and the Museum will remain open from 4 pm to 6 pm on June 19 to give families and friends attending the Toll Gate Grammar School PTO End-of Year Picnic the chance to learn more about the influential New Jersey men and women who made invaluable contributions to the state and the world in arts, business, sports, science and business.
Designed by famed architect and NJHOF inductee Michael Graves and renowned museum exhibition designer Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the Mobile Museum offers a dramatic multimedia exhibition created around the theme “Make a Difference.” Through images, artifacts, film, and interactive elements, visitors can explore the ways that Hall of Fame inductees have changed the state and the world: as innovators, as leaders, and as voices for the voiceless—often against overwhelming odds.
The mobile museum is the nation’s first State Hall of Fame Mobile Museum exhibit in the nation and Toll Gate is pleased to be able to sponsor this "field trip on wheels”. “The NJ Hall of Fame inspires children to strive for excellence in all walks of life, and by offering positive role models, provides them with a blueprint on how to follow in the footsteps of our Jersey legends that are showcased onboard the Mobile Museum," said Steve Edwards, President of the NJHOF Foundation. Edwards, CEO of Business and Governmental Insurance Agency, a corporate co-sponsor of the Mobile Museum, added, “The Mobile Museum reinforces the message to children that they can achieve great things through passion and dedication.”
About the New Jersey Hall of Fame
The New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF) honors citizens who have made invaluable contributions to society and the world beyond. Since 2008, some 70 notable people from 15 fields of human endeavor have been inducted, including: Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon, Toni Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Buzz Aldrin, Frankie Valli, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah, Carl Lewis and Yogi Berra.
The Hall of Fame reinforces the message to children that they can and should strive for excellence in any endeavor of their choosing. By presenting significant and powerful role models and teaching young people about the voting process, the Hall of Fame is a source of learning, inspiration and hope for children. The New Jersey Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization with two collaborating boards working jointly: the New Jersey Hall of Fame Board of Commissioners, administered by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, and the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation Board of Trustees.
