State Fair Meadowlands will return to East Rutherford, bringing more than 150 rides and attractions to the 35-acre Meadowlands Fairgrounds near MetLife Stadium.
Slated for June 20 through July 6, the fair will feature more than 50 food vendors, including favorites such as pizza, gyros, burritos, corn dogs, curly fries, corn-on-thecob, turkey legs, funnel cakes, candied apples, deep-fried Oreos, ice cream and more. Fairgoers seeking something different can try chilled lobster rolls, filet mignon and pasta dishes.
In addition to the food vendors, the fair features an open-air circus, Big Cat Show, racing pigs, Sharkbait juggling show, acrobatic motocross show, vintage cars and more.
On June 21, the “50s Forever” show will showcase vintage automobiles and trucks from the 1940s to 1960s. On June 28, Muscle Car Madness will feature the hottest horsepower and coolest paint jobs of the 1940s up to the 1970s.
On July 5, fairgoers can celebrate Independence Day weekend with the Open Car Show, featuring souped-up trucks and cars. The car show will be open to all domestic and imported cars, four-wheel drives and trucks of all makes, models and years. Fairgoers can also take a ride in the Batcopter, the original helicopter from the 1960s TV series, and the Skyride, an alltime family favorite.

Fair hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. to midnight Sunday. On opening Dollar Night, the fair is open 4 p.m.-1 a.m. June 20, 6 p.m.-1 a.m. July 3, and 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 4.
Parking costs $5 Thursday through Sunday. It is free Monday through Wednesday and $2 on opening night. The fair will offer free shuttle buses to and from Secaucus Junction. Days and times to be announced.
On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and July 3-4, entry to the fair is $10 for age 13 and older and $8 for age 12 and under.
From Monday to Thursday — excluding July 3 — the prices are $9 for age 13 and older and $7 for age 12 and under.
