Toll Brothers’ executive receives special honor from the New Jersey Builders Association

A New Jersey homebuilding executive from Toll Brothers was recently honored at the 27th Annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards Banquet presented by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA). This year a very special SAM award was voted on by the NJBA members and associates at the 65th annual Atlantic Builders Convention. The NJBA’s first ever Above & Beyond Community Service Award was awarded to Toll Brothers Group President Chris Gaffney for his commitment to helping homeless kids as a member of the Board of Directors of Covenant House New York.

Carol Ann Short, CEO of the NJBA, said that Gaffney’s “energy and drive truly makes a difference…” for the homeless kids.

“Chris Gaffney is an incredible champion and advocate for homeless youth,” said Covenant House International President Kevin Ryan. “He runs marathons for our kids. He sleeps out on the streets for our kids. Through his efforts, Toll Brothers has become such an important and valued partner in our work. And the greatest thing Chris does is take the time to get to know our kids at Covenant House. He really cares, and our kids sense that, and it means the world to them. We are so grateful to have Chris and Toll Brothers as members of our Covenant House family.”

Covenant House is the largest privately funded agency in the Americas that provides housing and crisis care for homeless kids. Since he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors, to help further support the kids, Gaffney has served on several Gala committees; participated in numerous endurance events — marathon, triathlon, 5-mile runs; and slept on the streets of New York City as part of the Covenant House “Sleep Out” for the kids of Covenant House.

Toll Brothers is the nation’s leading builder of luxury homes. The company was awarded Best Clubhouse for Sea Breeze at Lacey and Best Single Family Home for Morris Chase Estates during the SAM Awards ceremony; both are New Jersey communities that Gaffney manages. Toll Brothers, an award-winning Fortune 1000 company founded in 1967, embraces an unwavering commitment to quality and customer service. Toll Brothers is currently building nationwide and is a publicly owned company whose stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
