With the stress of preparing for a new school year and a seemingly endless list of things to do, summer’s end can be a stressful time of year. Many families face the challenge of balancing the function and fashion of required school supplies to make returning to school fun, yet still within budget. Unfortunately, for many local needy students, parents cannot afford to buy the supplies their children need to support academic success.
With another school year now upon us, Peapack-Gladstone Bank once again joined the United Way of Northern New Jersey Stuff the Bus school supply program, accepting a variety of school supply donations at many of its locations. These supplies will be distributed to schools within Somerset County providing financial relief for families in need while giving children the necessary tools to begin the school year ready to learn. Additionally, Bank employees recently joined with United Way personnel and local volunteers at the United Methodist Church in Somerville, New Jersey to provide hands-on assistance in unloading, sorting and packing donations.
Peapack-Gladstone Bank is committed to supporting education in our local youth and thanks those that contributed in helping local children make a successful transition back-to-school.
