The 11th Annual Gourmet Garden to be held on October 2nd and hosted by Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer will present a grant to the Work Readiness Program of Crawford House of Skillman. Zonta’s Gourmet Garden, held at The Stone Terrace by John Henry, 2275 Kuser Road, Hamilton, has raised over $250,000 in its first 10 years for local non-profits that work to raise the status of women and children in Mercer County.
“Zonta is thrilled to host our special food and wine fest again this year and honor Crawford House and the Work Readiness Program”, said Suzanne Methot, Co-President of Zonta Club. “After a rigorous grant process, the Work Readiness Program (WRP) was selected to receive the grant given each year to programs that further the mission of Zonta. The WRP specializes in services to aid women in recovery to obtain employment and achieve independent living. Zonta Club believes that working with one woman at a time will make a difference in the whole community. WRP does this work and we are thrilled to partner with them.”
The Gourmet Garden features tastings from 19 local restaurants and the wine and beer are provided by Hopewell Super Buy-Rite Liquor Store of Pennington. A full list of restaurants and sponsors can be found at www.zontagourmetgarden.com.
