 Aleksandr Vasin, an accordionist from the former Soviet Union, will perform a one-hour concert of Brazilian, Cuban, Moldavian, Russian and jazz genres at 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson.  Bartley Healthcare will host its 14th annual Family Fun Day for families in the community. This free event will be held noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 on the Bartley Healthcare campus at the corner of North County Line Road and Bartley Road, Jackson. The rain date is Oct. 5. Guests are asked to bring a bag of nonperishable food items or make a monetary donation to benefit the Jackson Food Pantry. Children will receive a free Tshirt with the donation of a bag of food. Bartley Healthcare will match the monetary donations received for the food pantry. The event will have a carnival theme. Boy Scout Troop 204 will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, soda and water. Guests will be treated to free popcorn, cotton candy and shaved ice.

 The Howell Women’s Club Member Tea will be held on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Taunton School. This is an annual tradition open to women who live in the Howell community, including residents of Jackson, Freehold and Lakewood.  A blessing of pets will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 on the lawn of DeBows United Methodist Church, Jackson.  The Jackson Rotary Club is sponsoring a bus trip to the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City to see the Bobby Vinton and Jimmy Sturr Christmas Show on Dec. 3. The cost is $90 per person and includes bus transportation, beverages on the bus, show ticket, buffet lunch at the casino, driver gratuity and $25 back in slot play.
